Description
Kshitiz Thebe, a candidate of the CPN-UML, was born in Sinam of ward 1 of Sirijangha Rural Municipality in Taplejung. He is the youngest son of Bhupendra Thebe and Urmila Thebe. He completed his School Leaving Certificate from Sinam Secondary School in his village and later moved to Kathmandu for higher studies, completing his bachelor’s degree there. Coming from a political family background, Thebe began his political journey through the ANNFSU, the student wing of the CPN-UML. He later served as a central member, secretary and vice-chair of the Youth Association, and was twice elected its central chair. He became a member of the party’s provincial committee and was elected a central committee member at the party’s recent general convention. This is his first time contesting an election for public office. Thebe is married and has a son. He is the youngest among four siblings, with one elder brother and two elder sisters. His father, Bhupendra, was elected a Constituent Assembly member in the second Constituent Assembly election, while his mother, Urmila, became a lawmaker in 2022 through the UML’s proportional representation list.
