Description
Ramesh Rijal is a central member of the Nepali Congress. He won the 2049 BS elections and the Mid-term election of 2052 BS. Although Rijal lost the 2056 BS election, he won again in 2064 BS. He lost the last two elections in 2070 BS and 2074 BS.

Political Affiliation
रिजालका बुवा मेघराज उपाध्याय राणाविरुद्धको आन्दोलनमा सक्रिय सहभागी । रिजालले विरासतमै राजनीति पाएका हुन । २०२७ मा नेपाल विद्यार्थी संघ गठन हुँदा रिजाल विरगंजको ठाकुर राम बहुमुखी क्याम्पसबाट प्रतिनिधित्व । नेवि संघको जिल्ला उपसभापति । २०३४ देखि २०४८ सम्म कांग्रेसको जिल्ला सचिव भए । २०५२ मा पार्टीको जिल्ला सभापति । कांग्रेस विभाजित हुँदा उनी प्रजातान्त्रिक काङ्ग्रेसको केन्द्रीय सदस्य भए । पार्टी एकीकरण भएदेखि रिजाल केन्द्रीय सदस्यमा निर्वाचित हुँदै आएका छन् ।
Parliamentary Journey
२०४९ को निर्वाचन रिजालले जितेका थिए । २०५२ को मध्यावधि चुनाव पनि जिते । २०५६ को चुनाव हारेका रिजालले २०६४ मा फेरि विजय भए । २०७० र २०७४ को निर्वाचन उनले हारेका छन् ।
